Our next Apéro-debate explores the rule of law in Europe, with Belgium as a case study. While concerns about Poland or Hungary often make headlines, Belgium’s own issues rarely do. The Commission’s Rule of Law Report (24 July 2025) highlights disregard for court judgments, risks for journalists, and party financing problems.


Sophie in’t Veld, former MEP and chair of Parliament’s Rule of Law Working Group, will guide us through this crucial debate.
